Jesus is GOD!

A different look to what was said and how that tells us Jesus is GOD.

Mat 26: 26... We find nothing but silence from Jesus in the temple on this night when two witnesses convey their false testimony against Him.

Perplexed, Caiaphas in the very next verse ask Jesus, "....Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?"  (KJV)  Yet, Jesus held His silence...It was at this time, in the very next verse, Caiaphas carefully worded his statement and question to force an answer out of this blasphemer that stood before him.

Caiaphas, the High Priests in the very next verse (Mat 26:63) made this statement prior to His question. ".....I adjure thee by the living God,"

This is the same as what is written in "I put You under oath by the living God:" (NKJV).

*Note: The taking of an oath of GOD, much like taking an oath with the right hand on the Bible was recognized as common practice to gain acquittal of charges or in this case, accusation of the two witnesses. We can find this Exo 22:11.."Then shall an oath of the LORD be between them both,......"(KJV),  Num 5:19..."And the priest shall charge her by an oath,........" (KJV), etc., etc. etc.

Although the question had not been asked, this places Jesus in a position to either DENY or CONFIRM what what Caiaphas was fixing to ask!

​"....Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!"(KJV)

the answer:
"Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said:" (KJV) (Mat 26: 64...)

Notice, Jesus did not deny with these words that He was the Son of GOD.

Yet we find at His crucifixion, those who were passing the cross where Jesus was hanging, mocked him. (Mat 27:42, ).  This included the Chief priest and all the other priests of the temple  in verse 41 and 42.

In verse 43 Ciaphas states: "He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God."

Completely confirms that Jesus indeed did confirm that He was the SON of GOD.

Jesus also confirmed that He was the Messiah, the King of the everlasting Kingdom found in Daniel 7:13.."I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him."  in the very same verse

In summary: we find proof that Jesus is GOD  in many other places in the Bible....John 5:18.."Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God."

​or John 8:58.."Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am."

or John 9:35-37.."Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?  He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? ......And Jesus said unto him, ...

...Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee."

How much more does one need to determine that Jesus Is GOD... There are many more scripture that will attest to this very fact....

If these verses presented  above are but a small part of the truth in the book He authored; what chance do you have against the author who wrote these words when you try to explain to Him at the White Throne Judgement, why you did not believe what He said?
