THE MYSTERY OF THE KINGDOM
« on: May 06, 2019, 09:21:11 am »
Luke 8:10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

Matthew 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Mark 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

The mysteries of the kingdom were not part of the revelations of the mysteries given to Paul. Jesus stated, in verses above, that the knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom was given to the twelve Apostles.

The parables expounded by Jesus were meant to be hidden to the unbelieving Jews. The parables contain knowledge in regard to the promised prophetic kingdom on earth. The promised kingdom at that time was at hand. The kingdom would be fulfilled after Daniels 70th week of God's wrath. Christ will come to set up his kingdom, and rule on his throne. The twelve Apostles will rule with him. The believing Israel of God will be a nation of kings and priests. Israel will be a light to the nations.  Matthew 3:2  Matthew 24:29-30  Psalm 45:6  Luke 22:30  Exodus 19:6  Revelation 5:10  Matthew 5:14

It was prophesied that Israel would reject Jesus as their Messiah. It was prophesied in the parables the kingdom would be delayed.  Isaiah 8:14

Jesus spoke many things in his parables concerning the coming kingdom on earth.
Matthew 13 has several parables that speak of receiving the Word of God, and being fruitful; that believers and unbelievers would not be seperated until the end of the world; that the kingdom was like a mustard seed. Jesus spoke of the nature of the kingdom, and the attributes of those would enter.

In Mark 13:34 is found a parable, in which, the Son of Man is taking a far journey; this parable conveys watchfulness, bearing fruit, and faithfulness in regard to his coming. In Luke 13:8 Jesus spoke of giving a fig tree one year to bear fruit, or it would be cut down. As can be seen by the parable Jesus spoke in Luke 19:11, and in the the two just cited, he was conveying that the kingdom was going to be delayed.

It was not prophesied that the kingdom would be interrupted by the dispensation of the grace of God, as revealed to Paul. The gospel of grace, justified both Jew and Gentile freely by faith in Christ Jesus and by his propitiation.  Ephesians 3:2  Romans 1:16  Romans 3:24  Romans 3:25

Luke 8:10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.Mark 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

The one mystery He explained that was hidden in a parable HE revealed plainly, no metaphor, no hyperbole, no analogy but His answer has been the most ignored or re-interpreted into absurdism ever seen. I refer to the mystery of how the enemy sowed his seeds into GOD's garden, the parable of the sinful but good seed, Matt 13.

His explanation reads: Matt 13:36  Then Jesus dismissed the crowds and went into the house. His disciples came to Him and said, “EXPLAIN to us the parable of the weeds in the field.” 37 He replied, “The One who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, and the good seed represents the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, 39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.

The good seed are sinful as they are liable to be pulled up in the judgement of the evil tares.

They are NOT the children / people of the evil one but of the kingdom, sinful believers but never condmened, Jn 3:18.

To be sown into the world CANNOT mean to be created here because the devil does sowing also. Therefore it must refer to its ordinary meaning of 'to remove from a place of storage and to scatter in  place of growth.' What place? Ps 9:17 gives the hint  although it too is often mis-translated: The wicked will RETURN to Sheol—all the nations who forget God.  in which RETURN is changed to go to or turn into, meanings chosen to hide the fact that some people came from Sheol and return there upon their death.

So it is not so much that the parables contain mysteries but that people will not believe the plain teaching of the parables EVEN WHEN they are plainly explained.

You think so? I think he was taught many secrets, just as many as the disciples got, but was not allowed to talk about them, calling the things he heard too sacred for words, things that man is not permitted to tell. Why do you think Christians were not permitted to hear these secrets?

Perhap they were for the end time: Daniel 12:4  But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. or even Rev 10:9 And I went to the angel and said, “Give me the small scroll.” “Take it and eat it,” he said. “It will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.” So I took the small scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it; and it was sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned bitter.

And they told me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.”

Unbelieving secularists AND pew warmers within the Church are kept out of the loop also. Lots of false teachings about the kingdom in this day and age, eh?

The Kingdom of Heaven and The Kingdom of GOD was preached to the Jews during the time of John the Baptist..Neither was a mystery.

What Kingdom were you speaking of ?

you said:" The wicked will RETURN to Sheol—all the nations who forget God.  in which RETURN is changed to go to or turn into, meanings chosen to hide the fact that some people came from Sheol and return there upon their death. "

Only Demons come from hell to torment people above ground....They may return to Hell but they are not people (humans).

Hello

Just one point:

You said.........The good seed are sinful as they are liable to be pulled up in the judgement of the evil tares.

The evil tares are not to be pulled up because it may affect the good seed....they will be separated at the end at the harvest.

The nations in Ps 9...all the nations who forget God.  is Strong's Concordance, 1471. goy: nation, people and is never translated as demons as far as I know. Again you have let your theology run your exegesis.

I quoted Ps 9: 17 to support the contention that the goats, Satan's angels, ie demons, are sown into the earth as humans by the devil, Matt 13:38...The weeds are the sons of the evil one, 39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The devil cannot create so this must refer to bringing his sons to the world from...Sheol!

WHERE IS YOUR VERSE  to support your rather dydactic contention only demons are in Sheol, what you call hell, and they cannot be born as humans?

Yup - Matt 13:29 ‘No,’ he said, ‘if you pull the weeds now, you might UPROOT the wheat with them.  And if they are liable to be UPROOTED, they must be sinful too. No holy angels are in danger if the tares are judged, right?

The good seed/the wheat are the children of the kingdom
The tares are the children of the wicked one

This is speaking of the tribulation period where the good seed will be separated from the unbelieving tares.

People can be influenced by them and summon them and be possessed by them.

This I agree with you but again, they (demons) are not human people.
