When was the beginning that is talked about?


Did Isaiah tell the truth or is he to be ignored? Isaiah 40:21 Do you not know? HAVE YOU NOT HEARD? HAS IT NOT BEEN TOLD YOU FROM THE BEGINNING? Have you not understood SINCE THE EARTH WAS FOUNDED?

How could we have heard and understood since the earth was founded if we were not created yet???

Isaiah is speaking to the people about Jesus.
Isa 40:21.(KJV)."Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?"

Isaiah is amazed at those who have not heard about the righteousness/glory of Jesus Christ.That Jesus was there from the beginning, that Jesus was there before the foundations of the earth were laid?

It is pretty clear from the context of Isa 40:1-21 is NOT speaking about the people but rather Jesus Christ.    Oh, this is the OT right with Jesus Christ in it???Mysteries for mysteries.

I say "amazed" by the way the questions was asked...If one reads it carefully, one can see his (isaiah's) voice rising with each successive  question of unbelievability.
