WHO CAN BE A BISHOP OR DEACON
« on: March 24, 2020, 08:23:49 am »
1 Timothy 3:9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

Bishops and deacons must hold the mystery to be qualified in the church of God. They must know, preach, and teach the mystery that was hid in God, and revealed to Paul (Ephesians 3:1-7 Colossians 1:26 Romans 16:25-26).

Doug....In the Authorized King James Edition, the whole third chapter of 1st Timothy is dedicated to the qualifications of "a" deacon.

1 Cor 15:3-4.."For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

Acts 17:11.."These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."

Hey Blade
I know, I was only commenting on one verse which specifies that a bishop or deacon must hold to the mystery revealed to Paul in regard to the gospel or doctrine.
