PETER AND PAUL
« on: August 18, 2020, 02:14:34 pm »
Here are differences in preaching between the twelve apostles and the apostle Paul which show they did not preach the same thing.

Forgiveness:

The twelve preached forgiveness for the nation at the coming of Christ (Acts 3:19).

The twelve were to teach in order to be forgiven, they had to forgive others (Matthew 6:14-15).

Paul preached forgiveness now in Christ (Colossians 1:14).

Destination:

The twelve were appointed to judge the twelve tribes in the Davidic kingdom on earth (Luke 22:30). The twelve preached that believing Israel would be given the earthly kingdom (Luke 12:32).

Paul preached the heavenly places for the body of Christ (Ephesians 2:6).

But, here are the similarities between the twelve and Paul.

The name of Jesus:

The twelve preached the name of Jesus (John 1:12).

Paul preached the name of Jesus (Acts 9:29 Romans 1:5 1 Corinthians 1:2).

Jesus the Christ, the Son of God:

The twelve preached Jesus as Christ, the Son of God (Matthew 16:16).

Paul preached Jesus as Christ, the Son of God (2 Corinthians 1:19).

The gospel of Christ:

The twelve preached the gospel of Christ (Mark 1:1).

Paul preached the gospel of Christ (Romans 1:16) but with further revelations made known to him by revelations of the Lord Jesus Christ ( 2 Corinthians 12:7 Ephesians 3:2-7).

Acts 15:7 has Peter speaking to the Jews and He says this.

Acts 15:7-9.(KJV).."And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith."

There is no difference between anyone in the Church (Body of Christ) Jew or Gentile as above states.....All in this body will become Kings and Priest to rule over the Gentile world during the millennium. The apostles will judge those in Israel, but the remnant of Israel will receive the same "New Covenant" from Jesus into their hearts and minds.

You keep trying to separate the Jews and gentiles in the Church. You keep saying there are two separate churches, one for the Jews and one for the Gentiles and this is not Biblical.

And then Peter said: "]b]And put no difference between us and them[/b], purifying their hearts by faith.""

1 Cor 15:3-4.."For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

Acts 17:11.."These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."
