LUKE 1:32 THE THRONE OF DAVID
« on: May 28, 2019, 05:15:58 pm »
Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

In verse 32 Jesus is identified as being the Son of God.

The same verse declares that Jesus will be given the throne of his father David. Matthew 1:1 speaks of the genealogy of Jesus and that he descends from David.

It was prophesied that Jesus would be given the throne of David and would reign over the earth (Isaiah 9:7  Jeremiah 23:5). His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom.

Sounds like your on the right track Doug. The Millennium is the years that He will begin to rule on Earth from King David's Throne. The Mortal remnant of Israel will rule Israel and Jerusalem through Jesus Christ.

The Bride of CHrist (church taken during the Rapture) will be kings and priest during this time. They will be ruling these gentile nations that survive the 'Great Tribulations'

The Pagan Survivors of the various nations of both the "Great Tribulations" and The Sheep and GOAT Judgement will live during this time with a decision making period of 100 years.

The Tribulation Saints (those who martyred themselves in the name of Jesus Christ), serve in various ways for Jesus during this time.

And of course, Jesus Christ will rule The world with an Iron Fist from HIS 50x50 mile Holy temple just north of Jerusalem.

NOTE: There is NO mention of anyone translated into heaven from the earth during the millennium. Are these generations of earth the ones who will populate the New Earth after the WHite Throne Judgement?

1 Cor 15:3-4.."For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

Acts 17:11.."These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."

Hello
Thanks for the response, just one point. The bride is not the raptured church (the body of Christ) but rather the holy Jerusalem (Revelation 21:2  Revelation 21:9-10).

Doug, sorry to disappoint but the Bride is those of the Church (Body of Christ)and Yes, the Church (Body of Christ) will be raptured.

As far as the Revelation 21:2.."Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. ..........."

Here, John is using the Beauty of a Bride walking down the isle to describe the New Jerusalem.

In Rev. 21:9-10  "Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, "

Here, the New Jerusalem is the Bride. The City that contains all of God's people...Again, the Beauty of the city is akin to a Bride.

It is interesting, that you jumped the Bride to the very end and not the rapture of the Church where the Bride is then taken to Heaven as seen in Rev 4.

Hey
The church will be raptured
The bride is new Jerusalem, but if you read the description in all of Revelation 21 it pertains to Israel not the body of Christ

Thanks Doug and Blade
Hearing, believing and trusting the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross; His death, burial and resurrection for the forgiveness of sins, the gospel of our salvation, and repenting, seals us with that Holy Spirit of Promise. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise. 2 Peter 3:9 KJV - 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV - Ephesians 1:10-14 KJV - Romans 10:9-10 KJV - Romans 10:13 - Romans 10:17 - Ephesians 1:7 KJV - Colossians 1:14 KJV -
