JOHN 3:1 ISRAEL MUST BE BORN AGAIN
« on: July 11, 2019, 05:34:10 pm »
John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

To see the kingdom of God a man must be born again.

The kingdom being spoken of is the prophetic Davidic kingdom on earth, in which Christ will reign along with the believing remnant, the Israel of God (Exodus 19:5-6 Luke 12:32 Psalm 22:28 Galatians 6:16).

To enter into the kingdom a man must be born of water and of the Spirit. Israel had to believe on the name of Jesus; believe he was the Messiah, the Son of God (John 20:31 1 John 5:13). Jesus is saying that Israel had to repent and confess their sins as a nation and be water baptized and receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).

The Holy Spirit under the fulfillment of the new testament will cleanse Israel with water and put a new spirit in them and cause them to walk in his statutes, keep his judgments, and do them (Ezekiel 36:24-28).

Jesus in saying "Ye must be born again" speaks of the nation of Israel.

We know from Jeremiah how the New Covenant will be dispensed to the remnant of Israel. In those last days leading to the millennium, Jesus will instill His laws and love into the hearts and minds of the remnant of Israel.

Yes, the Ye is plural and is Israel! Thank God someone is paying attention to details! And let's be sure to show that their being baptized (baptism of repentance) in water was them "confessing their sins" according to Matthew 3 and Mark 1/it was a "baptism of repentance for the remission of sins".

When the times of refreshing comes from the presence of the Lord (Acts 3:19-21 second coming), that fountain will be opened unto them according to Zechariah 13!
Romans 16:1 I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:

The baptism of Israel by John the Baptist was for washing the body, for repentance of sins.  Mat 3:11. This is not salvation. Repenting of sins is "turning away from them and not repeating them"

For the first part of Acts, the Church after chapter 2 to chapter 9, only Jewish people were in the Church. Cornelious was the first Gentile into the Church (body of Christ).

Israel today is real and out of this population today, will a remnant be forged who will live in the Millennium. Of course while they are partially blinded until the fullness of the Genitles (1/2 of Dan 70th week), there will be those that are true believers in Jesus Christ and His Gospel. (1 Cor 15:1-4)...These are members of the Church (body of Christ ) and will be Raptured to Heaven prior to the start of Daniel's 70th week.

Dear brother Blade.

We agree on so much and it is good to join with you in battle against the anti-Semites.

We have one little area of disagreement about who are the remnant, I see that it is not the remnant to be born again, but the disbelieving Jews. The remnant in every mention of them in either testament are those who remain faithful.

Paul says when he asks "has God cast away the Jews? "God forbid!" he speaks about the remnant and says "indeed I myself am an Israelite" he is placing himself among the remnant.

Speaking about the restoration of Israel he says "and so ALL Israel will be saved".
I know there is a debate to had about what "all" may mean in this connection ... I think it does mean all.

But also in Zechariah we read that when they shall look upon Him whom they have pierced they will mourn for Him as for a firstborn son.

ALL Israel will mourn for Him, God will pour out a spirit of supplication upon them and they will pray and seek the Lord. Husbands will separate from their wives to seek Him in a spirit of prayer. The husbands will seek Him and the wives will seek Him separately.

This is not amillennialism, this is the start of the new millennium.

And I do believe that the Jews are to be kept safe during the Tribulation.

I am of the belief that Israel's time of anguish is over, I believe God has already turned back to them although they have not yet turned back to Him.

Blessings, blessings upon all lovers of Israel.

Good evening Brother Billy:

If you wish, we can hash this out in this thread so that others can follow our reasoning (both sides). However, I must warn you, I believe you will come over to my side once all is said.

What say you?  If you agree, start us out by giving your
reasoning, verses, etc. on why you believe your way. Take your time and if you want to to do it in parts (i.e. past, present and future of Israel, etc.) by all means, have at it.

I was aware that you did not believe as I do but we are both for Israel and her people.

Hope you have a blessed evening.

I don't really want to get into a wrangle too much, it is bad enough fighting off the ant-semites. You present them with what really are unassailable scriptures which they simply ignore and present scriptures which they cherry pick that seem to support their own view, and they are so dishonest.

But to simply state my case  :)

You can read the early chapters of any of the prophets and see from them that they were to be punished and eventually removed from the land, the outlook is bleak. "Oh that my head was a fountain of tears" cries Jeremiah when he sees the evil that will fall upon his people.

Folks read these prophecies and that's where they get their idea that Israel is going to cop it big time.

But they are looking in the wrong place. They are reading the FALL of Israel which we all know about. But as well as the fall of Israel all the prophets tell about the eventual RISE of Israel, their restoration and for this you have to read the later chapters of Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel etc.

Let me zero in to the matter at hand, how Israel will fare in the last days.

Jeremiah ch.30.v.3-11
[/For behold the days are coming says the Lord when I will restore the fortunes of My people, Israel and Judah says the Lord, and I will bring them back to the land which I gave to their fathers and they shall take possession of it.

These are the words which the Lord spoke concerning Israel and Judah

Thus says the Lord
we have heard a cry of panic, of terror and not peace,
ask now  and see, can a man bear a child?
why then do I see every man with his hands on his loins like a woman in labour?
why has every face turned pale?

Alas! that day is so great  there is none like it, it is the time of Jacob's trouble

BUT

he shall be saved out of it

and it shall come to pass in that day says the Lord of hosts that I will break the yoke off their necks and I will burst their bonds and strangers shall no more make servants of them. But they shall serve the Lord their God and David their king whom I will raise up for them.

So FEAR NOT O Jacob My servant, BE NOT DISMAYED O Israel for lo I will SAVE YOU from afar and your offspring from the land of their captivity

Jacob shall return AND HAVE QUIET AND EASE AND NONE SHALL MAKE HIM AFRAID. for I am with you to SAVE you says the Lord
I will make a full end of all the nations among whom I scattered you but of you I will not make a full end.
I will chasten you in just measure and I will by no means leave you unpunished.
+
You see from this that the time of Jacob's trouble is in view or the Great Trouble, like no other before or since. The Great Tribulation.

But God says they will be saved, they will even be at ease and none shall make them afraid.

Now the later prophecies concerning Israel in Isaiah and Ezekiel say exactly the same thing, it is the time of vindication for the Jews.

Daniel.12.v.1=3
At that time shall arise Michael the great prince who has charge of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble such as has never been since there was a nation till that time

BUT

at that time your people shall be delivered. Every one whose name shall be found written in the book. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.

+
You see it again, the time of great trouble, and the Jews are delivered.

Just look at what God says to Jeremiah

Everybody afraid, panicking, WHY? God asks, why are you afraid? why all this talk of terror?

Does a man travail in childbirth?

You see Israel is God's firstborn son

It is the WOMAN who travails in childbirth ... the church

Billy, I have a hard time reading your text when it is written in dark blue.

As far as Jeremiah, Isaiah go, I agree with you. Yet, their prophecies for the most part are in chunks and are in no particular order. We see this more in Isaiah than the others.

Jacob's Trouble corresponds to the second half of Daniel's 70th week which is also spoke of as "the Great Tribulation" by Jesus in the Gospels.

This time period begins with the Antichrist/Satan (son of Perdition) committing the AoD. From the prophecy Jesus gave those in the temple that day (Luke 21), those who believe in those words, and see the AoD happen will flee Jerusalem to the mountains of Petra in Jordan.

Notice only those in Jerusalem are going to flee. Also, not every Jewish person will believe in this prophecy (see today the abandonment of the Lord). Jesus tells us that 2/3 of the Jewish population will die. The 1/3 will receive the New Covenant and will receive the land GOD promised them from the Abrahamic and other covenants. They will live during the Millennium ruling over all Israel with the Lord Jesus.

You have one problem that i see and that is you consider that Jesus will save all Israel. The remnant according to the bible will be only 1/3 of the population during those days.  By the way, roughly 1/3 of Israel died
under Hitler's Germany.

Acts 17:11.."These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."

Where does Jesus say 2/3 rds?

Only those in Jerusalem are told to flee because that is only destination of the invader, the abominator, there in Jerusalem he will seat himself in the temple.

In the very specific and detailed quote I gave from Jeremiah God says "I will not leave [Israel] unpunished but will chastise them in measure" I can well understand from this that Jews who rush to defend Jerusalem rather than flee will be killed.

Jeremiah and Daniel could not be more specific ... Israel will be delivered, saved.

Billy, look at the state of Israel today. They practice a false theology and accordingly, when the end comes only a small minority of the current population of Israel will live. right now it is around 6-7 million,,,,,,,`1/3 would 2 million.

Zec 13:8..(KJV).
."And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein."

Zech. 13 is speaking about the time of the Lord "I shall smite the Shepherd and the sheep will be scattered"

Chapter 14 begins "Behold the day of the Lord cometh." so this is where our attention should be focussed for the end times

We see that yes there will be much trouble in Jerusalem

verse 2.
For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle and the city shall be taken and the houses rifled and the women ravished and half the city shall go forth into captivity and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city

verse 3.
THEN

shall the Lord go forth and fight against those nations as when He fought on the day of battle

The rest of the chapter is a very good description of the beginning of the Mill and corresponds to Jeremiah and Ezekiel 39- and Daniel 12. and Isaiah.ch.2.
