As a practicing Catholic for most of my life (although not now), I always kind of envied OSAS Christians who didn't have the weight of Catholic guilt bearing down on them all the time, of being in constant danger of dying without confession after sinning enough that purgatory wouldn't fix it and hell was the only option...

You know the one thing I always appreciated about Catholics is the accountability factor.  I have witnessed far too many of the OSAS individuals acting in a manner that is inconsistent with Christ-like behavior.   To be specific, I am thinking of many of the heroes on another forum.   Some of the comments are so far over the line, you have to wonder "what kind of a person raised you".

I don't expect perfection ... however, I expect better than ...

"I can't wait until you are burning in hell" ...

OR accusations which are sexually provocative or malicious ...

Thankfully we haven't had to deal with that here or on TF ....

But the point is .... that kind of behavior is not being a *good person* ... and sets a horrible example.

Have you ever considered they just might not be a Christian, A 'True Christian' which would explain the "Bad Behavior".

1 Cor 15:3-4.."For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

Acts 17:11.."These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."
