Why does sin lead to death?
(1/2) > >>
guest24:
Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
I purpose to you that the law of sin and death is a natural law of a holy God verses an unholy people. In fact this passage talks about God's law being life....that leaves us with where did the law of sin and death come from? I believe that Habakkuk 1:13 informs us that it is the nature of a holy God verses an unholy people....
Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
Do you agree or disagree, make your case!
The importance of this is in not only how we view God but ourselves and our salvation and I believe it is a foundational understanding to a right relationship with the Living God....what say ye?

Well, Death was not known until Adam ate of the fruit. That very day HE and Mankind died. Caused by Sin or the dis-obedience to GOD's rule (laws)... In the time of Adam/Eve in the Garden of Eden, the only rule was NOT to eat of the Fruit of a certain tree in the middle of the Garden. He (Adam) broke that rule and therefore condemned Mankind to everlasting sin resulting in everlasting death.
But for the GRACE of God (Jesus), His Mercy, no man or woman would be saved from a death of everlasting torment.
