Why did Satan choose Eve?
« on: August 25, 2020, 06:58:38 am »
As I was listening to a video someone posted, I got to thinking about why satan chose to try to deceive Eve.  I personally am currently leaning towards it was jealousy but I would like to hear your answers.  Please NOTE I am not asking how satan deceived, why he is still trying to deceive or anything else it can be twisted into...Not even the usual he wanted to be like God will answer the question I am asking, so please try to refrain from the SS answers.  WE know his pride was the heart of his actions but I am asking why he chose Eve and Adam to unleash that pride against.

Because God loves us and satan can't touch or hurt God so he tries to destroy His beloved children.

It seems to me like God's Love for mankind is unique so much so that He provides a way back, one that doesn't seem to exist for the other celestial beings...I would think that would make someone like satan jealous.

there is a question? Did GOD tell EVE not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge? NO

It was no doubt whatsoever that Lucifer was jealous of GOD- not mankind. He just saw mankind as a way to surpass GOD.

Eve was not told by GOD not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge. Therefore, she was an easy target for when He ask that age old question? " Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden"  (gen 3:1)

She could not answer YES?

Jealousy of God and an easy target because She (Eve) had not be directly told by GOD not to eat of the tree of knowledge.

So you really believe that Eve did NOT know that God warned them NOT to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge or good and evil or she would die?  Interesting...so how then could she be deceived if she didn't know that it was forbidden?

Eve had to know it was forbidden because if God didn't tell her then Adam surely did.

I have figured out that there is a group of people who try to make accusations about Even not knowing and being easily deceived in order to justify their view of woman especially when it comes to women in the church.

But just think of it, because they were the only two people and "married: I suppose. Adam was told by God of the one thing he is forbidden to eat, and surely Adam told Eve straightaway.

bottom line, she knew and so did Adam...how the word got to her is neither mentioned in scripture nor suggested because it isn't as important as some men want to try to make it out to be.

Now satan may have chosen Eve to deceive first because she was possibly a "weaker vessel" so to speak. I'm not saying women are weaker by any means, just perhaps with Adam & Eve he was less likely to listen or be swayed by the devil.

Ah, you are right that she knew,,,HOW? GOD told her in Gen 3:3.,"But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die."

Therefore there are only two reasons that She might have disobeyed GOD for

1. It suggest, That GOD had lied, the Serpent was telling the truth that she would surely not die should she eat of the fruit of that particular tree. Because it was forbidden, she wanted that fruit but only the thought of dying held her back. Satan just took that fear away.

2. That she would be like GOD (a god, Gen 3:5) according to Satan. This suggest that ambition which also suggest the lust for power of being a god.

Could Sin have happened before the fall, We are Not Told.....The above suppositions could have happened but we are only TOLD, SHE was DECEIVED!.

Jesus tells us Eve was simply deceived (1 Tim 2:14) and it does NOT matter  why and what reason she needed to disobey Jesus. She DID!

I think the LORD answered your statement:"I have figured out that there is a group of people who try to make accusations about Even not knowing and being easily deceived in order to justify their view of woman especially when it comes to women in the church. "

That idea did not come from man but rather GOD! (1 Tim 2:9-15)

Throughout the Bible we are either told directly or through various idioms, patterns, etc as to what GOD wants us to know!

On the other hand, there are things that GOD does not tell us the details such as the 'seven thunders'...Rev. 10:4

What did the 'Seven Thunders' say: WE are NOT told: Thus WE CANNOT KNOW!

The why EVE was deceived is another.

after studying the topic, Brian concluded that the weaker vessel refers more to the idea of fine china weak, not weak in other ways.
