What are you looking forward to the most?
« on: October 30, 2018, 08:21:01 am »
I was sitting here trying to get some good worship time in before delving into my day. The song, "Well Done" by The After's came on and it got me wondering what you all are looking forward to the most about our eternal home.

Being with Jesus Christ. I also look forward to many other things. I love talking about heaven but I find that many do not. Let's make this thread a hit and I will share my thoughts on heaven from childhood to the present day.

I don't know how evident it was but I look forward to hearing my Lord say "well done".  I long for those words a close second is being in His presence.  Of course I look forward to seeing our son, I can just imagine him running up to me and say, "mom, mom, you got to see this...and that...you won't believe this...."

I have always said though that even though I know that God is true to His word and that I will live my eternity with Him, I would trade it all just to know that He was well pleased with my service to Him.

The end of evil, hate, suffering, pain, sickness, death and division among people.

Being seated with Christ Jesus in Heavenly Places (Ephesians 2:6), Far Above all (starry) Heavens (Ephesians 4:10), where Christ sits at the right hand of God (Ephesians 1:20).
