The book of Ecclesiasticus while not considered canon is found in the three oldest complete books; The Vulgate, the Septuagint, and the Codex Sinaiticus.  Scholars throughout the ages consider it important works that have an important story to tell.   I do not know what the issue is in quoting it is you are not stating it as something divine.  If you limit yourself to just the books that some group of men has determined are divine and all others do not count, then you are missing important parts of the stories and teachings from the Bible.  In my humble opinion.  You must understand that the divine words do have a backstory if you will and if you want to paint a complete picture of their meaning then by all means use the complete story.  If you are a scripture snob that deletes from your own learning anything other than what you accept as holy and will consider nothing else, then that is on you, again my humble opinion.  I think this constant hate for those willing to look at everything is only damaging and prevents real discussion and real Christian and religious growth.  Like all things, it must be kept in the proper context or it can do damage, I agree there.  AGAIN, just my humble opinion.

Again just my thoughts and no one else, but you get the same lesson of the youth being silent or to speak with consider to the point speech can be found in Job. 

This is not a shot at anyone, but just an expression of my thoughts and feelings.  All of you are my friends and I have learned too much from you all, but I feel I get to express my viewpoints also for discussion.
