The role of men...

Everytime I try to talk about the roles of men in both the marriage and the church, someone insists on turning it into a discussion about the role of women....why?  my husband has a theory but I would like to know from you all why you think that is....while we are at it, feel free to talk about the role of men in our homes and churches, for example, what does headship mean, who is the head of the church, how did Christ love the church thus how the husband is to love the wife, etc.

Well, The Headship of the Church is to the Elders/pastors and yes they are all men...... The headship of the House is also the man yet He is NOT.....In the home the wIfe yields much power.

I have 50 years in marriage this year (yes to the same woman) and she rules the roost at home....However, when a decision is to be made, 'we ARE one' in that decision as GOD had designed. 

The Head of the Church is Jesus Christ and the Body are all those that believe in his Gospel and have receive salvation. We are ONE Body..........

so what then is the role of the man?  Even in the Church?  It isn't answering the question to say that they can have leadership...

You talked about marriage, we can start there is you want?  Ephesians says that the husband is to Love the wife as Christ Loved the Church...how did Christ Love the Church?
