Let's try this...thanksgiving and praise
« on: June 26, 2020, 07:54:38 am »
I'm sitting here praising and thanking God.  In fact, I have been on a quest to find more and more things to be thankful for, things that I would normally dismiss or find it hard to be thankful for, thus learning to see even things that are not "good" to hold something of God worthy of praise and thanksgiving.

So how about we see if we can fill this thread with thanksgiving and praise to God for the things that are often hard to thank Him for.

I will start with; I thank God for the constant, unstopping pain and what He is showing me and doing through me through the constant pain.

I'm looking forward to your praises and thanksgivings.

Awesome. Yes the little things that we take for granted are huge when we examine them. I'm going to start by thanking God for sending forth His only begotten Son, for His grace and mercy AND judgement.

I thank God that I will be purified by fire (is that scriptural?)

I thank God for the people in my life, even those who annoy me at times and even people who may disgust me at times. I love them all and the shortcomings. We deal with imperfections and flaws while in the earth or we miss out on beautiful relationships.

More later . . .

amen...1 Peter 1:7 King James Version (KJV)
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

I have been, every time I pray, especially at night when I wake up every hour or so, telling God how much I love Him and thanking Him for something unique in my day.  Some days are easier than others to find something to be thankful for, but I today, thank Him for the lessons He is teaching me in thanksgiving.

I thank Him that it appears we might have found a solution to the pain issue, which affects my sleep.

I thank Him that we have sun on a porch full of tomatoes and potato plants.  I even saw at least one tomato developing, yum, looking forward to a fresh tomato from the garden.
