Opinions vary (as does mileage) but my own dear Dad was one of those old farmers and while he could spin a yarn better than most he’d also be quick to note that an old farmer designed the tractor— and he made it single-seated. They remain so to this day.

there is a reason for that... The seat of a tractor provides some of the most quit solitude there is...No one to talk to, no one to listen to and a great place to talk to GOD! While in the hay field will ride it around 10-12 per day.  Lots of solitude.  YEah!

Do you and Mr.E really think women don't like solitude?  Seriously, how many moms complain about not even having the privacy to go to the bathroom without a young audience? Maybe that is why men talk more than women, cause if a woman gets time alone it is a very rare thing that she cherishes.

:D

I remember those days when my kids were little always right up under me no matter where I went in the house. Even to the bathroom.
Now my cat follows everywhere. She gets upset when I'm in the shower like she's afraid I'm going to drown.  :D

Long story, but we had our daughters dog here for a while, we were supposed to keep her but things changed...anyway, I was sick while she was here and couldn't lay down so I would sit in my chair to sleep and she was content as long as she was in Brian's chair and could touch my hand.  If I got up to use the bathroom, (having to take the walker) she couldn't reach me because of the walker, so she would follow me to the bathroom and sit beside the walking and whine till I went back to the chair and she could touch me with her nose...of course this is the same dog that would find a shoe and chew it up for whoever was gone at the time...we had to put her in doggy jail when we had to leave the house....lol

Sounds like she might have been worried about you though, not wanting you to fall and watching out for you till you were safely back sitting down in your chair.

Maybe, it was just before I ended up in the hospital for 14 days so likely or just missing her normal surroundings was also possible.  She is very much so a people dog.
