In another discussion, I pointed out you could do something and not be guilty but it doesn't mean that thing is righteous....I was challenged on this, what do you think...can you not be guilty of sin and still not be righteous or is there only sin and righteousness and nothing in between?
I guess it would depend on how bad it is and whether we did it knowingly or unknowingly. If we did it knowingly then we can ask forgiveness and not do it again. But when I pray I usually ask for forgiveness for what I've done both knowingly and unknowingly. Because I can be ignorant about some things.
I was thinking more along the lines of disputable matters....Romans 14:1 1Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. 2For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. 3Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. 4Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

5One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. 7For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. 8For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. 9For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

10But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

11For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

12So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

I brought this up on another discussion and told that there is no such thing....of course that only applies to things the other person wants to claim are not disputable...
Ok I see. Arguing over disputable matters like food or a certain day that causes divisions and can even be a stumbling block for our brother or sister.

Rom. 14:13 From now on let us not judge one another, but determine this rather: "You shall not lay a stumbling block for your brother."
Rom. 14:14...But to the one who regards anything impure, it is impure to him alone. 15 But if you grieve your brother because of food, you are not walking in love.
17For the kingdom of God is not food and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
18For he that in these things serves Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
19Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things with which one may edify another.

I'm reminded of the time that I first joined TOL and in the welcome section, the only thing that one person said to me was, Do you eat pork?

what a question to welcome someone....wow your life sounds as exciting as ours lol
Yeah I didn't really know how to take that question at first. Then later on I saw how this person would use that to condemn someone.

How are you doing btw, maybe not the place to ask but thinking about you and praying for you as we "speak"
I'm doing okay for the most part. I have good days and bad days. Some days my balance is way off. I've had some falls. The worst one was not long ago where I hit my head, not a serious injury but it was painful for a while.

I have a lot of neck pain because of degenerative disks. That's been happening for years. I was pushed really hard from behind out a door. I had xrays done later and the doctor was actually saying that he was sorry that my neck was in such bad shape and he knew I had to be in a lot of pain. Several of the disks are hollow and turned onto each other. My neck in that area doesn't curve as it should instead it is straight. Anyway, I don't dwell on that. I've just learned to live with it. I did have a series of shots in that area to relieve pain but the pain was only helped for maybe a few months. It took me about a year to convince a doctor to take me seriously enough to have xrays done. Then an orthopedic doctor ordered an MRI that showed more clearly how bad it was.

I'm still feeling effects from the chemo. My teeth are falling out rapidly. It has been confirmed that is caused from chemo. I have frequent short term memory loss as a result of chemo as well. Also deficiencies in Vit. D and Vit. B12.

Having said all that, I'm thankful that things aren't worse. I know there are people with much worse health problems than what I have.

I truly appreciate the prayers from the bottom of my heart. I pray for you also.

I'm worried about my youngest son right now. I would appreciate prayers for him too.
