So we can add another layer to this discussion.  That of sacrificial prayers.

On another forum, I was once asked to pray for a woman who needed to move.  We also needed to move (long story) as I was praying, God asked me what I was willing to give that she could move.  I said to God that we both could move, HE was big enough to do that.  To which God said to me, that is not the question.

Hahaha....after sometime, I accepted that I was willing to stay where we were if God would move her...within the week she moved and we were still in our situation.  today we have a miracle house and property but the point is, are we willing to do our part for the person we are praying for?


But another thing we don't think about much is that God hears the prayers of the righteous but turns from the unrighteous.  There is often times a lot of talk about whether or not we have to obey, but if we want power behind our prayers, we need to be obedient and maintain a right relationship with God.

Just some thoughts to think about.
