Do not forsake the assembly of yourselves together...
« on: May 27, 2020, 07:54:37 am »
Hebrews 10:25 King James Version (KJV)

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

There is actually a lot in this verse I would like to talk about, but I want to start with what not forsaking really means.  Of course the "pandemic" is gonna be part of the discussion, but there are other reasons to not attend services.  I once talked to a pastors wife who talked about the time she missed months of services because of illness being passed around in their family.  That is just to examples of forsaking the assembly but I want to hear your ideas about when it is appropriate?  for how long is it okay?  who are those that don't?  If we are meeting together to exhort one another, are we doing that?  etc.

To help you keep it going, I offer nothing but will be listening...
1 Cor 15:3-4.."For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

Acts 17:11.."These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."
