8 Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name;

make known his deeds among the peoples!

9  Sing to him, sing praises to him;

tell of all his wondrous works!

10  Glory in his holy name;

let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice!

11  Seek the LORD and his strength;

seek his presence continually!

12  Remember the wondrous works that he has done,

his miracles and the judgments he uttered,

1 Chronicles 16:8-12  (ESV)

He said to them, h“Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”  Matthew 17:20 (ESV)

"When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, 'Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.'"
Luke 2:15,(NIV)

We have been told, we have been shown, we have been saved from sin, so lets us, this year more than most, spend this time mending fences, giving thanks, and loving one another so that when the new year dawns we have the foundation Jesus the Christ wanted for us all.  Bless you all.   Chappy Mark.

5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. 7 For one who has died has been set free from sin. 8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. 10 For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. 11 So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.  Romans 6:5-11 (ESV)

12 “I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion. 13 To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech. 14 Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have insight, I have power.  Proverbs 8:12-14 (NIV)

1 I waited patiently for the LORD; he inclined to me and heard my cry.

2  He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.

3  He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the LORD.

Psalm 40:1-3 (ESV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentlenesses, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Galatians 5:22-26(ESV)

As we speed towards the Holiday celebration of Christmas, let us all remember that it is not about the gifts or the massive food spreads or who spent the most or any of the other commercialization things that go on.  It is about the pure genius of the man Jesus of Nazareth that realized the only way to save mankind from itself was for him to die on the cross and be resurrected as the Christ.

Solomon wrote it dest about this time of the year, things to keep in mind as we go about our last-minute shopping.  Remember to take deep breaths, relax and enjoy the celebration of Jesus' birth.  No gift or last second anything is worth your health or your spirituality.

1  For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven:
2  a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
3  a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4  a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5  a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6  a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7  a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8  a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8  (ESV)

19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NIV)

14 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.  Hebrews 4:14-16 (ESV)
