13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand, therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, 19 and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.
Ephesians 6:13-20 (ESV)

You are one of the few I know that I believe you when you say that.   Thank you for doing that.  Should give the rest of us extra hope.  Even though we disagree at times :-)

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?

The LORD is the stronghold1 of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

2 When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes,

it is they who stumble and fall.

Psalms 27: 1-2

This just felt right tonight

Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? Did you suffer so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith— just as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”?  Galatians 3:2-6

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. – John 14:27, ESV

Thought this might be a decent one for election night

3 We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.
2 Thessalonians 1:3 (ESV)

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30

10  fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,  I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

I felt in this current time with all the political upheaval a few scriptures to look at for staying calm might be helpful.  Blessing and love to all of you.

Philippians 4:6.
John 14:27.
Isaiah 41:10.
Psalm 94:19.
Psalm 34:4.
1 Peter 5:7.
2 Corinthians 12:10.
Philippians 4:13.
Proverbs 3:5
Matthew 6:25-34
2 Timothy 1:7

He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”  Matthew 17:20 (ESV)

Felt this is a good reminder during this time that we all need to look to our faith.

Keep a clear conscience before God so that when people throw mud at you, none of it will stick. They’ll end up realizing that they’re the ones who need a bath.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
