Post by: guest8 on June 15, 2020, 07:23:56 pm
As always I urge you not believe a think I say but be a good Berean and find out for yourself in Acts 17:11......For GOD in Pro 25:2..(KJV).."It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter."

                                                       ************

Sometime ago I found a list of the Names of Jesus Christ that are listed in the Bible....It has been said there are over fifty. I will leave the others not listed here for you to find in a future Bible Study! The last one the page is not really a name but is my favorite.

* Alpha and Omega – “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” Rev. 22:13

* Advocate – “My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.” 1 John 2:1

* Author and Finisher of Our Faith – “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Heb. 12:2

* Authority – “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power (Authority) is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”   Matt. 28:18(emphasis added)

* Bread of Life – “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” John 6:35

* Beloved Son of God – “And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matt. 3:17

* Bridegroom – “And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.” Matt. 9:15

* Head Stone – “The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner..” Ps. 118:22

* Deliverer – “And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.” 1 Thess.1:10

* Immanuel – “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” Is. 7:14

* Indescribable Gift – “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift.” 2 Cor. 9:15

* Judge – “And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.” Acts 10:42

* King of Kings – “These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful..” Rev. 17:14

* Lamb of God – “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” John 1:29

* Light of the World – "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.." John 8:12

* Lion of the Tribe of Judah – “And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof..” Rev. 5:5

* Lord of All – “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father..” Phil. 2:9-11

* Christ is our Mediator – “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” 1 Tim. 2:5

 * a Nail - "And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father's house." Isa 22:23

                                                                                   ***********

*The Authorized King James Edition (1611, 1769) was used exclusively as other versions are somewhat different depending upon the year of their printing.

*All verses in the Bible are: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”  (Note: we have placed all scripture in RED for your convenience)

*Thus God is considered the author of all 66 books through 40 writers including those of Psalm 2.

**We welcome your comments and questions..Please keep them precise and clean.

1 Cor 15:3-4.."For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
