Title: Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind:
Post by: guest58 on August 24, 2019, 11:17:43 am
John 9:1  As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth.  2  And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”  3  Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him.   Notice He did not say that neither this man nor his parents sinned (as the herring down the rabbit hole goes) but that his blindness was NOT a punishment but for the glory of GOD because the healing a man born blind was supposedly one of the three or four miracles only the Messiah could perform, a significant sign.

How does it make sense that the disciples ask if the man was born blind due to his own sin, if they did not believe in the pre-existence of the spirit/person able to sin before their birth on earth? Notice Jesus did not chastise them for making an error about his creation but only about the reason for his suffering.

It is also significant that Jewish theology did not accept our pre-earth (pre-conception) existence so one wonders: how did they ever come up with this question about a man sinning and being punished for that sin before his birth? Was it because they had been with Jesus, learning at his feet, for the past three years which Matthew 13:11 He replied, "Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. may allude to?

In Dan 12:4 (KJV).."But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."

Only when we die will we know for sure.

Surely the time of the end is not the same as the time of our death but rather the end of this age occurring over at least three years.

Yes and NO!.... Those that are true believers will be taken away from this world along with those in the graves (that were true believers) before the wrath of GOD  (the beginning of Daniel's 70th week) takes place upon the earth... There will be well over 1/2 of the population of earth die during this 7 years of terror. The remnant of Israel will flee Jerusalem when the AoD takes place in the THIRD temple of Israel.

If you die and do not believe, you have a long wait in HELL until the Great White Throne Judgement at the end of the 1000 years of Jesus Christ's reign on earth from King David's Throne in Jerusalem.

Hope this answers your question?
