My prayers for Ann. I would also like to pray for my mother's health and breathing issues. Prayers also for my dad to believe and be saved from death to life. We can know that we are saved today and my dad is impossible to talk to about God and Jesus. He keeps everything inside.

My mother has stress and heart problems also. Thank you to all who pray and God bless you.

I pray for everything. I pray a lot even when I'm not trying to pray. I pray for suffering people, lost people and abused animals. I pray for my family and my friends and sometimes I pray for myself. Be sincere and have pure motives so God will hear and answer. Pray in Jesus' name, amen.

Pray please that by some miracle [which seems pretty unlikely at the moment] Parliament will vote today to leave the EU.

In the 80s Thatcher introduced a bill which would have made Sunday just another day of the week and she had a MASSIVE majority in the commons to do it, everybody was CERTAIN it would be passed.

But Christians all over Britain prayed

To everybody's amazement the bill was voted down and Sunday remained a day of rest.

I have so much to pray for. Let us start with our sister Lori. I think I saw that she got some bad news about her condition. Lord God, please help Lori to get better news soon and relieve her pain and suffering. Dear God, I also ask that you help my mom and her pain. Help her to sleep well and relieve her pain. We are still praying for tj and her family. I pray for everyone here and I pray for the Holy Spirit to be poured out across the world. Pray for our leaders and for the country. In Jesus' name, amen.

Today at 10:50:34 am truthjourney says: Lori, I try to talk to my granddaughter sometimes about scriptures that offer hope, joy and peace but I have to do it gently because she is so opposed to Christianity and she believes that death is the end and that there is no hope of life beyond death. She lost her mother, my daughter, a few years ago. My daughter was a strong believer and had a lot of faith. If my granddaughter could accept the scriptures that offer hope and life beyond this one then she would be able to find some peace with her mother's death. But she doesn't have that peace and it really breaks my heart. I want her to have peace and hope with that.

Jesus, we seem to face far too much loss these days. In times like those, we choose to rest our heads on your sacred shoulders. Weep alongside. Lift our heads. Rejuvenate our vision. Bring us back to a place of play. Of wonder. This world is dark, but we recognize right now, in this moment, that You are glorious light. Please, please shine down on us so we can see You at work. Replace our mourning with dancing. Hold our hands, our hearts, our dreams. Amen.

For my family.

Just for the sake of clarity, the prayer was from Brian (for both of us so not really a problem) since he was having problems with his computer, he used mine and it came across as me...just wanted to clarify so no one was confused.  Not a bit issue but I don't like misunderstandings or confusion.

2 Corinthians 4:6-18 KJV -
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

11 For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2 Corinthians 5:1-9 KJV -
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

Chaplain, please pray for me. I have a problem with taming my tongue. My words are hurtful sometimes. It's like these words come out and it's from an evil spirit, not from God. My prayer while laying in the ER, I thought I would share for anyone who wants aa prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I bow before you, just as I am now, humble, sick, and in distress.
I surrender my entire being before you, my God. I accept you as my Shepherd, Savior, and my Healer.
Heavenly Father, please take charge of my life and my health.
Please heal me, fill me with your healing power, fill me with you love
Cast out all that should not reside within me.
I ask for you to speed my recovery so I can better serve you.
Amen

This was the other prayer I said, apparently, my wife wrote it down as  I muttered it.  Thank you wife, you are my angel.

Holy Father
I come to You sick, distress, and in a panic.  My world spins and I lay, my head throbs just to think and I am ill to my stomach.  I know not what caused this, but I pray to You for Your to help and intervene.  Return me to the health I had.  I put my health and recovery in Your hands and in the hands of the medical personnel You have blessed me to encounter this night.  Bless them and guide them in their duties and in their treatments to all they encounter.
Thank you, Lord, for being in my life.  Amen.

I came to the Chaplain's forum to ask for prayer. I know we are no longer under condemnation but I do it to myself daily. The accuser does this without my help yet I facilitate it and accuse myself for past sins that I am forgiven of.

I also need to forgive my dad as I say I have. I still feel anger and resentment; bitterness towards him and I can't seem to remove those feelings deep inside.

I watched a good short video that I posted today about four things that stop prayers from being answered or heard. The holy spirit prays for us as well, I know this too. How can I pray correctly, as God commands if I have not fully forgiven someone?

Thank you

Father, I have sought Your blessings more than Your presence.  I have sought what I can gain from knowing about You instead of knowing You.  Help me stop all the religious studies activity without your presence in those studies.  Help me in striving to earn Your love and blessing and take the time to know You.  Thank You, Father.  Your presence is the blessing I seek.  Amen.

A prayer I have started saying most nights.

Let us be thankful, Lord, for little things
The song of birds, the rapture of the rose;
Cloud-dappled skies, the laugh of limpid springs,
Drowned sunbeams and the perfume April blows;
Bronze wheat a-shimmer, purple shade of trees -
Let us be thankful, Lord of Life, for these!

Let us be grateful, God, for health serene,
The hope to do a kindly deed each day;
The faith of fellowship, a conscience clean,
The will to worship and the gift to pray;
For all of worth in us, of You a part,
Let us be grateful, God, with a humble heart.

Father, help us remember all these things as we struggle
We struggle with a divided nation
We struggle with an election that is dividing and not hearling
A nation that has family and friends turning against each other
Not of you Lord, but of politics, party, and dogma.
Help bring us back to you,
Help steer us to understanding, compassion, and cooperation
Steer us back to Your love.

Amen.

To help us all that seek help guidance and direction,   I provide this prayer.  I am not sure I got it right, but it feels right.

Lord, I’m here today with open hands and an open heart, ready to depend on you to help me through the day and all it will bring my way. Help me be like Nehemiah, help me come to you for guidance, strength, provision, and protection. As I face tough choices and hard situations, help me remember my belovedness, help me remember that I am Your child and Your representative to the world around me. Help me live today in a way that brings honor to Your holy name. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Lord make Me an instrument of Your peace
Where there is hatred let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness joy.
O Divine master
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console
To be understood, as to understand.
To be loved. as to love
For it's in giving that we receive
And it's in pardoning that we are pardoned
And it's in dying that we are born...
To eternal life.

AMEN

A prayer for all on Memorial Day this coming weekend.

Most Holy Father, We are thankful for the sacrifice so many throughout our history have made, for the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice and for their families who had to carry on without them. It is a sacrifice that has become too easy to forget. For those who have it, freedom is like oxygen. It’s something we just have. Many will not understand just how precious either is until they are at risk of being taken away. Today I remember the many sacrifices made and debts we cannot repay. Today I pray for the God of heaven to bless the families of those who have lost loved ones while serving our nation. We pray for you, Oh Lord, to bless and comfort the walking wounded who are still with us, and bless their families as well. It is also our prayer that we remember their sacrifice and the precious gift of freedom every day, not just once a year or when they are in danger of being taken away.
In Jesus Name, AMEN

I saw this on another forum. The author is unknown.
I thought it was well worth passing along.

Dear God, our Holy Father,
Please untie the knots that are in my heart, my mind, and my life.
Remove the nots, cannots, and the do nots from my life,
Erase the will nots,  may nots, might nots, that may find a home in my heart,
Release me from the could nots, would nots, and should nots that obstruct my life
And most of all God, I ask that you remove from my mind, my heart, and my life all of the “am nots” that I have allowed to hold me back.  Especially the thought that I am not good enough.
AMEN

Heavenly Father, I ask that you reach out your healing hands and help Charlie, grandson of PJ, to recovery and heal from what has caused him to be in the hospital.  Bless him and all his family so all can feel your glory and your grace and your loving touch helps Charlie heal.  In your son's Jesus name we ask this from you, Lord.  Amen.

Heavenly Father,  it is so easy to wander away from You.  Forgive me when I do this.  Help me escape today from all that entraps me, tempts me and that leads me away from your loving grace.  Help me break away from all that has taken my heart from You.  I come to You now Holy Father. I want to follow you.   Amen.

Just seem like a good one to have up today.  Came to me while reading posts and devotional sites.

For my wife, for Lori, and all the rest of us that need this today and every day.

Loving God, I pray that you will comfort me in my suffering, bless me with Your healing grace, lend skill to the hands of my healers, and bless the means used for my cure. Give me such confidence in the power of your grace, that even when I am afraid, I may put my whole trust in you; through our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen

A prayer for our next few mornings, because we all need to start off well in my opinion

Oh Lord, most heavenly Father, Almighty and everlasting God, who has safely brought me to the beginning of this day; I give you thanks for my creation, preservation, and all the blessings of my life. Grant that this day I fall into no sin, neither run into any kind of danger; but that all my doings, being governed by your will, may be righteous in your sight. That you bless all those I come into contact with and all my family and friends this day. Through Christ our Lord, I pray.  AMEN

Father, I ask for Your help this day to watch my tongue so it speaks softly and with love, my emotions so that I have understanding and compassion.  Help me really listen to others I encounter.  Help me to be careful before I speak or take action so I can reflect on you in whatever I do.  Help me control my temper. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so I can be more like Your son Jesus.  AMEN.

I don't figure anyone here really cares, but I am having a pretty bad health day and need God's strength to endure...if anyone cares enough to pray with me.

Lord, my King and lifter of my soul, strengthen me to endure, to be a light no matter the darkness surrounding me.  In my weakness shine forth with your strength that others might know the pure Love you have for us despite our failures.

I saw this early this morning but had many things to get done.  I added you to my prayers throughout the day Lori.   I will always pray for you as you are one of the many on here I consider part of my Chaplains' flock.   I hope what is bad will be good and what is ill will heal.

Thanks...one of my struggles right now is that I know too much about what is causing all the health issues and since it could have been avoided I struggle to not get angry at the depraved indifference that brought all this pain and destruction to my flesh...my spirit however, well, I will just say, IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL.

How are things with you?

sounds like a winner to me...we have a son in Minneapolis and one that just moved from there.  Have fun! Cherish the time you have together! and remember to Praise the Lord for His goodness.  You will have to tell us how your trip went when you return.

thanks to everyone who prayed...last night was the first night since the incident that almost killed me that I didn't wake up feeling like all I could do is hold myself and rock....that one incident (about a month ago) set our progress back about 7 years (my husbands estimate) but as I said, it could have all been avoided if people just cared enough to listen...oh well, now apparently the Dr. is ticked and won't renew a prescription which may be to my advantage, we will see how it pans out...it's all in God's hands.  The biggest problem was having to go off the med suddenly rather than weaning me off.

PJ, glad you got time away, I trust it was as encouraging and rewarding as you had hoped.

Most Holy and Heavenly Father,

Good morning, Father,  thank you for this day,
Help me to follow you in every way.
Let me speak as you speak, and do as you do;
Let me help others, as you help them, as you have helped me, too.
Help me, to be honest, don’t let me play games,
Help me to grow, yet still stay the same.
Help me not to be selfish, to give of my heart, my mind, and my labor;
Give all - not just part.
Help me to love others, my family, my friends,
Bless all of my foes, help me make amends.
Help me be kind, Father, where I am needed, let
Me give warm attention and see all needs are met.
Help keep me busy, to strive for the best,
Help me not to be lazy, but find needed rest.
Let me come to you, Father, throughout the day,
Often to thank you, often to pray.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

We welcome the new month of October with great expectation and hope
Lord, it is difficult to find words to express my gratitude for all the ways You have blessed my life and the lives of those close to me.

Thank You for Your unconditional love.  I embrace Your love and peace.
I will keep my eyes focused on You. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.

Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.  Proverbs 4:23 (ESV)

Father, I refuse to believe that You are ashamed of me or that you have abandoned me because of my transgressions.  I confess my sins and accept the death of Christ on the Cross as the substitution for my wrongdoings.  Help me Lord rise, not in arrogance, but humility, knowing that I am cleansed and accepted by Your unconditional love.  I choose to accept myself as forgiven and not ashamed. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Hello Family, I just received the saddest news that the one our Father used to bring me and countless others to His truth has passed away. Rob Skiba is without a doubt the most influential person in the truth movement and the best at making the Bible interesting and fun to study.

I can't put together any words that would do him justice due to the shock and sadness, but I wanted to share a link I found that will allow those of you who want to support his wife and family a chance to do so.

I found the link to his paypal on his fb page and hope that it is the best place to help his wife Sheila with anything she needs. If you feel led to support her, please do so. Thanks!

ROB SKIBA'S WISDOM AND WARNING FROM 2013 ABOUT TODAY'S REALITY

This is by no means a full length tribute to Rob as it would take me months to create anything that does his ministry justice. However, I did want to share some of the things that have brought me comfort since learning of his passing.

While I was not a fan of his line of thinking and his dogma, it was of such a nature, his voice and thoughts needed to be heard.   While I cringed at most all he said at times, he forced me to look, research, and investigate some of his statements and to really think on things I otherwise never would have.   His voice being lost is a blow to an open and honest discourse of thoughts on our very existence.

RIP.

Mosty Heavenly Father, I besiege You to watch over Rob Skiba's wife and family in this time of mourning.  Have Rob's voice, whether you agreed with him or not, not to be lost as it was an important voice and line of thinking on the philosophy of our existence.  Help those that turned to his voice for solace, for enlightenment, for guidance, and for many other forms of help, be blessed in still having his voice to listen to in all his recordings.  May all his followers help reach out and help his family.  Please bless him, his passing, his message, and his philosophy so as all can benefit from what he forced so many of us to do, question the status quo.  That is the legacy that I hope you have him remembered for.  I also ask that you have this scourge of a disease that so complicated his last days and may have been the underlining cause of his passing be beaten in some fashion.    In the glory of your name, AMEN

Dear God,
Give me the courage to begin again — to overlook the difficulties, to overcome the obstacles, and to stay open to the moment as best I can. Help me be patient enough to know it takes time to start over and wise enough to ask for help from friends and family when I need it. As I look to the future, to look into this New Year, may I reflect on the past and remember the lessons it’s taught me. And God, may I always look to you for strength and guidance.  Amen

Loving God,  We pray for the people of Ukraine today and for the coming days. May you bring peace to this area of the world now torn by war. We ask that you protect your children and comfort them in this dire time of need. May your glory, wisdom, and power over us all give the world leaders the wisdom, discernment, and compassion to guide their decision.  We pray for those that will be lost to this conflict, we pray for all the children that are now at risk and living in fear, we pray for your protection of all the weak and innocent caught amid this aggression
May almighty God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--bless us now and forever. Amen.

A PRAYER FOR LORI

Gracious Father,
I commend you, my dear friend, Lori, to You, almighty God, and entrust her to Your care.
May Lori rest in the arms of the Lord who formed her from the dust of the earth.
May holy Mary, the angels, and all the saints welcome her now that has gone forth from this life.
May Christ who was crucified for us all, bring her freedom and peace.
May Christ who died for us admit her into his garden of paradise.
May Christ, the true Shepherd, embrace her as one of his flock.
May he forgive all her sins, and set her among those he has chosen.
May she see her Redeemer face to face, and enjoy the vision of God, forever.
In your hands, O Lord, we humbly entrust our friend Lori to you. In this life you embrace her with your tender love:
Deliver her now from every evil and bid her eternal rest; no sorrow, no weeping, no pain, but the fullness of peace, joy with your Son and the Holy Spirit,
We pray, in your name, Amen.
