In this video we talk about a growing issue people are having with being objectified. Something some of us was long gone, in reality, is getting worse in a lot of ways. What is modesty really, is it a state of mind or the clothes you wear? Do woman deserve advances from men based on the clothes they wear?

No ... in the same way women should refrain from oggling shirtless men in tight jeans.
I am not saying that a person is expected to not notice something. I am saying that it should be treated in the same way one would treat a breast feeding mom.

No ... in the same way women should refrain from oggling shirtless men in tight jeans.
I am not saying that a person is expected to not notice something. I am saying that it should be treated in the same way one would treat a breast feeding mom.

I think most men and especially young and young-ish men have to make a conscious effort and a split second decision not to gawk. I can't explain how we get this way but it's a conditioned response maybe? I can't say it's instinctive although men are instinctively attracted to women and vice versa, but again, I'd say that MOST men are programmed to look and "check it out" as looking a woman up and down in just a second or two. Do women do or feel the same things? As I'm 50 now I don't gawk but I still have the strong inclination to.

I agree, Patrick. To look is natural. Gawking is a choice. The choice one makes reveals their values .
