June 20, 2021, 12:03:12 pm says: PJ, I've been sitting here wondering whether or not to say something about Father's day...thank you for saying something.  Father's day weekend is the anniversary of our son's death and so a very difficult weekend no matter how you look at it.  That said, even Father's who have lost a child, whether estranged or gone from this world, deserve a wonderful Father's day but I don't always know how to tell certain dad's that.  Some of these dads, feel left out even if you include them in a Happy Father's day because they don't get the phone calls or hugs, all they get is a reminder of their loss...I want them to remember the beauty of what they had and still have as they love their child from the furthest places of separation known in this life.

Today is a new day, today starts a new schedule that will free up time to start our ministry...it's an exciting time and a bit scary all in one but God is good and so we grab hold of His hand and walk into the future and all that it holds for us there.

I was about 11 years old. He told me I should ride the horse. I said but I've never been on a horse before. She was a big horse too. He said don't be afraid, she won't hurt you. So he helped me climb up onto the saddle and yes, I was scared. So after I got into the saddle in almost a split second, she threw me off and fortunately I fell onto hay so it was a fairly soft landing. I said to my cousin, so she won't hurt me, huh? ....I was at a fair and one of my kids was riding a pony, pony rides, and my son was really young so I was walking alongside the pony trying to make sure my son didn't fall off. All of a sudden, the pony kicked me. I don't know, maybe I got too close to it and it didn't like that.
