However,  I have always felt that Preachers, etc. go the extra distance with the Application of scripture to the lives of their congregation.

I applaud this but stay away from it in my teachings.    I do not try to tell someone how to live...I do tell them what GOD said literally....If that goes against their applications then It is between them and GOD, not me.
