Like you, I too pray each day that Jesus would guide and teach me what He needs me to do. To know that I am earnestly trying to listen on where He is trying to guide me, to understand what He is trying to teach me. There have been many times where I have had to ask Him if I understood Him right for I feared I was listening to my sinful self. It is a works in progress. Just hope I can get there by the time, my time runs out.

March 30, 2021, 04:08:24 pm says: I guess it could be taken that way Blade,  but in 1 Samuel 3:10  Samuel says basically the same thing,  “Speak, for your servant hears.”  I feel all you are saying is God I am listening for your instruction your guidance, show me, tell me.  God speaks in many ways, rarely is it verbal.   He provides us with choice, he provides us signs he provides so many things that are his way of speaking.   I do this as my way to say I am his and I am listening.   Nothing more, no baiting no trying to force, just letting God know.   But I can see how on the surface that can be taken that way.
