The Marxist "Aufhebung Der Kultur" and the Lower Fertility Rate In Democratic Party Controlled States

Georg Lukács was a founder of Transformational Marxism and the Frankfurt School.   "Aufhebung der Kultur" is his German for "Abolishment of the culture," meaning to abolish that Western Culture which came out of the Northern Renaissance and  out of the Reformation. In the history of the U.S. it was the Protestant Great Awakening Revivals of the 18th century which gave us our version of Reformation Theology. Reformation theology, stresses being born again (John 3: 1-6), becoming transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12: 2), becoming a new creature or creation (II Corinthians 5: 17 and Galatians 6: 15), having Christ in you, which is the hope of glory (Colossians 1: 27) and becoming part of the Body of Christ (Ephesians 2: 16) which is also the same as becoming part of the Israel of God (Galatians 6: 15-16).

Lukács saw that it was this focus upon the transformation of the individual in Reformation theology which gave that Culture of Western Europe and of the United States its special ability to resist being taken over by Transformational Marxism, which is also Marxist Antonio Gramsci's "Long March Through the Institutions." Later Theodore W. Adorno of the Frankfurt School talked about how both Christianity and the Family were the cause of Fascism or Nazism and both must be abolished. Guess what the Left is now trying to abolish?  Adorno's name is on a book, The Authoritarian Personality, published in 1950.  At that time Adorno was a professor at the University of California at Berkeley. Another original Frankfurter, Herbert Marcuse, was a professor at Brandeis University.

Lukacs was aware of protestant individualism and its affirmation of an
individual's
personal relationship with God, as Jesus Christ the Son. The West had
affirmed the individual and his spiritual rise above the mere flesh of
man through Christ and the Holy Spirit. But Marxism affirms the
collective, the group. and hence the phrase "It takes a village to
raise a child" of Hillary and other Marxists.

The Transformational Marxists therefore set out to diminish that
individualism and individual spirituality
inspired by Biblical Christianity. To diminish individual
spirituality and the focus on the individual in Western culture, they
knew they must change the society surrounding the Christian churches
as well as infiltrate the churches themselves with the Marxist
dialectic process and replace man as a living soul with man as mere
flesh in the churches. And cultural Marxism also set out to diminish
the strength of the American family and overthrow the father and
husband as the authority in the family. The stealth Marxist
intellectuals following the lead of the Frankfurt School also knew
they had to infiltrate and change American public school education,
not only to dumb down the population so they would not be critical of
what was happening to their society, but also to change the society
from an individual based one to a collective based Marxist society.

There has been an interesting correlation going on between fertility rates by state in the United States and the following of Leftist or Democratic Party Political Ideology..The states more controlled by the Democratic Party, which tend to be the East and West Coasts states,have a lower fertility rate..

Fertility rate by state in 2013;

This site shows a map of the U.S. which indicates that the states of the Heartland, those states above and including Texas have the highest fertility rates of the whole country. However, Idaho,  Iowa, Alaska and Utah also have fertility rates that are the highest in the country.

The statistic is number of births per 1,000 women. The data here is from 2016:

There is a correlation here between Fertility Rate by state and the extent to which the sate follows a Leftist or contemporary Democratic Party Political Ideology.

The States of California and New York, plus the six states of the Northeast tend to follow a Leftist or Democratic Party Political Ideology, while the states of the heartland - the five states above Texas and Texas, plus Utah, Idaho, Iowa and Alaska tend to be lower in following a Leftist or Current Democratic Party Political Ideology.

Illinois and Minnesota also tend to follow a more Leftist Political Ideology, according to the 2016 election. The 2016 fertility rate for Illinois is 1.81 and the fertility rate for Minnesota is 1.93, which does not fit the overall correlation. of lower fertility rate and higher level of following of the Leftist ideology. That is, Minnesota appears to be more of a Leftist state by the 2016 election but is not among the states with a lower fertility rate.

Yet there is a clear correlation between Leftist or Democratic Party leaning and lower fertility rate by state in the 2016 data for fertility rate by state.

The interesting question is why do states that are more Leftist have lower fertility rates?

The first hypothesis to explain this correlation is that the cost of living is higher - due partly to higher tax rates - in the states that are run by the Contemporary Democratic Party. Couples avoid having children by use of some form of contraception more in Leftist states..

Another hypothesis to explain this correlation between fertility and Political Ideology is that Leftist or Marxist Ideology - Identity Politics, which emphasizes division between people by race, gender and sexual orientation - leads to a Diminishing of the Heterosexual Relationship Itself..

If this hypothesis is true, then the Transformational Marxist stress on Abolishing the culture of Christianity and of the Family has had more effect for the Leftists themselves in diminishing the role of the family and of the heterosexual relationship which is the foundation of the family. And if this is true, its also interesting.

A third hypothesis is that in the populations of the states on the East and West Coasts, with many living in huge urban centers, there are more people who have physical and/or mental disabilities, which lowers their fertility rate. Most likely, the Leftists would strongly oppose this hypothesis.   

There may be other hypotheses to explain the correlation between Political Ideology and Fertility Rate, some of which may concern population traits other than Political Ideology.  Male sperm count may be lower for example in large urban areas, and this would probably lower fertility rates.  Female disorders involving interest in sex might be higher in large urban areas, which could lower fertility rates.
