On Breaking Down the Recent American Generations
Bernard Pyron

The Korean War Generation, born from about 1927 to 1933, was not the children of the World War II Generation, born from about 1900 to 1927. Instead, the Korean War Generation people, and not just those who served in that war in Korea, were the little brothers of the World War II Generation. This means that the World War II and Korean War Generations were one generation. See: http://www.wmfc.org/uploads/GenerationalDifferencesChart.pdf

This site refers to the oldest generation as the "Traditionalists, Born 1900-1945."

The older Baby Boomers are the children of the World War II age group, while most of the younger Baby Boomers are the children of the Korean War Age Group.

Four Major American Generations are Identified by the site linked to above.: Each Generation Has To Some Extent Different Personality Traits, Theologies and Political Ideologies - The watershed of these generations was the Counterculture of the Sixties, in which the older Baby Boomers were politically radicalized and turned to the Left and at this time and soon afterward the Marxist Version of the Dialectic was introduced as a procedure of attitude and belief change - but not called Marxist --

http://www.wmfc.org/uploads/GenerationalDifferencesChart.pdf

This site breaks down and defines the Four Major American Generations now alive. The oldest generation is called the "Traditionalists. Born 1900-1945, " which is accurate because the "Traditionalist Generation" includes both the age group who fought World War II and the Age Group who fought the Korean War. In fact, the Korean War Age Group or Generation is similar to the World War Two Generation, and both generations are different from the Baby Boomers - and in fact many Korean War veterans are little brothers of World War II Veterans. The Korean War Veterans are not the children of the World War II guys.

Baby Boomers, are listed as having been born from 1946 to 1964. There are two age groups of the Baby Boomers, those born from 1946 to about 1958, and those born from about 1958 to 1964. Many or most of the younger Baby Boomers are children of the Korean War Age group.

The next younger generation, different from the Baby Boomers, are listed as Generation X, born from 1965 to 1980.

The youngest Generation are called the Millennials, born from 1981 to 2000. There is an even younger generation born after the turn of the century.

What are the personality traits, political ideologies and Christian theologies of the Traditionalist Generation? The Counterculture of the Sixties and seventies and the larger Me Generation that followed had influences on the entire American culture. But the Counterculture and Me Generation had a larger influence upon the Baby Boomers and their descendants.

But see: http://mentalfloss.com/article/533632/new-guidelines-redefine-birth-years-millennials-gen-x-and-post-millennials

"Now, the Pew Research Center is looking to give more structure to these generational nicknames with a new set of guidelines that establishes where each person belongs depending on their birth year. This is what they’ve come up with:

The Silent Generation: Born 1928-1945 (73-90 years old)
Baby Boomers: Born 1946-1964 (54-72 years old)
    Generation X: Born 1965-1980 (38-53 years old)
Millennials: Born 1981-1996 (22-37 years old)
    Post-Millennials: Born 1997-Present (0-21 years old)"

The "Traditionalist Generation" is  a more accurate name for the Generation  that fought World War II, which includes the Korean War generation or age group because those born from about 1900 to 1945 retain some of the traits of an older America, from the Frontier.  The big change in traits came with the  the Baby Boomers, and some even of the early Baby Boomers have traits that can be called "Traditional."

There also is a large change for the Millennial Generation, since so many in this age group reject American values of Free Enterprise, and the Family itself. making them even more likely to accept Marxist collectivism and rejection of the Family and Christianity which have opposed the Marxist Left.

Large numbers of the present day American Marxist Left are now being created out of the Millennials in the universities.  Remember that the University of Wisconsin in Madison was an early center for the Counterculture back in the sixties.   In the City of Madison, where the Leftists are now created out of the Millennials, there still  is, not for west of the Outfit on Lake Mendota where that creation is performed, a building out of the past which rises to the level of art.   It sits almost on University Avenue at the west end of the Campus - its  the Frank Lloyd Wright Unitarian Meeting House, 1949-1951, of 900 University Bay Dr., Shorewood Hills,

The name "Post Millennial" is a very odd choice for whoever named this generation. Its as if they were saying this generation will be the last generation prior to eternity????

Teenagers, an American Invention

This was an interesting video to make, because each section was recorded as I wrote them over a two or three week period. It reminds me of a phone conversation I might have with friends, which begins in one place and ends up somewhat unexpectedly in another. I also left an entire 20 minute section discussing "Star Wars" on the cutting room floor, which may perhaps serve as material for another video.
