I saw my brother's ghost
« on: April 19, 2020, 09:27:38 am »
I know this can be controversial for many do not believe in ghosts or else they think they are of demonic nature. Howbeit I certainly don't believe we should over interested or anxious to enquire about them.

But the experience I will relate was of a different  order.

We]read in the book of Acts how when Peter was imprisoned and set free by an angel he made straight away to where he knew the saints were praying for him, the lovely story of little Rhoda who answered the door and leaving Peter knocking outside rushed in to tell everyone that Peter was at the door. .... Tells you something about Peter that, the kids loved him.

The people did not believe Rhoda and when she insisted they said "it must be his ghost."

In the 70's I was working in a christian detox helping drug and drink abusers, we were a mixed bunch of christians of every which denomination. Some folks approved of Pentecostalists but some were critical and as the Lord would have it I shared a room with an arch critic. Moreover he was a very difficult person to get on with his face always set in a heavy frown, he was one those guys intent on setting christians right.

I kept out of his way as much as I could. At night I would wait for him to go to bed and after a while would put my ear to the door to listen, he was a heavy snorer so when I heard him snoring I could creep in and get into bed.

One night I followed this routine but as soon as my head hit the pillow he was THERE right by my bedside. He was extremely bright and his whole countenance was lit up in ecstatic joy, his hand was stretched toward me as though he would bless me.The hair on my head shot back with the shock of his brightness and I ducked under the blankets ... it was shock, not terror. When I looked again he was gone. All the while I could hear him snoring in bed, sound asleep.

God said to me "THAT is what all My children look like to me."

I suppose I must believe in ghosts because in 1972 when I was three years old, I saw my grandpa just after he died. It was late at night and I remember looking to the foot of the bed and my grandpa was right there in the rocking chair laughing and smiling at me. I felt relaxed and peaceful and I loved him a lot. First thing in the morning I told my mom. She believed me. Could that have been a dream? I think I knew at the time that it was real and I was not sleeping.

I had a dream several years ago where I also saw three persons I knew quite well daily. One of them spoke to me which sent me into a tail spin for two years. (yes, a long story but one that brought me to Christ). Yes, it was a dream because I woke up in a cold sweat. To this day, I can still see every part of that dream as if it were burned on my brain.

For those that are in Christ, our soul will be in heaven awaiting the Rapture of those living and dead to happen.

For those NOT in Christ, their souls go to Hell to await the second resurrection and the White Throne Judgement. There is no indication that they are released from hell to bother anyone on earth (Luk 16:24-31). Any spirits that are being seen, felt, etc are either demons, angels (Fallen angels or Angels sent by GOD) or Satan.

Hell is NOT where Satan Lives, He does not have the keys, Jesus Christ does.

I guess I will add to this as I find these type of incidents interesting.  Now I was told but a member of the clergy it was more like the a vision than a dream.

I was in the middle of open heart surgery.  The last thing I remember going it was being put under.   I bringing this up as I was suddenly standing watching them in a hurry to restart my heart.  I remember clear the doctor stating I was dead at that moment.  At that moment I saw two figures standing  right next to me - my father and what I perceived as Christ.

My father in his typical fashion asked me what I was doing there that it was not my time to much to do.  The other figure state - you are my servant, you mission is starting not ending.  He point towards me laying there. I heard the heartbeat monitor register a single heart beat.  The next I remember is being brought out an induced coma five days later.   I asked the doctor how long I was dead.  He was startled.  Then he said clinically I was dead for  3 to 5 minutes.   I started to tell hm.  He was like I will send a clergy.  It seemed to rattle him.

Then three years ago it was a horrible time of pain and doubt, and a figure I can not identify completely, but  sure it was the perceived christ was standing before me as I  stood  at a lake praying, among other things.  It walked to me across the lake and goes - my son it is time you start your mission to come back to me and to spread my word.   I still have that burned into my brain both of these.

Never shared before.

Thanks  for listening

Thank you very much Mark, I don't know how a vision is defined. I have seen a few. I have seen and spoken to and played games with 2 angels as a tiny kid ... I was perhaps 3 years old. It was a great astonishment to my devout Catholic parents.

The following year I saw and spoke and walked with the Lord Jesus for perhaps 20 minutes. I rarely share it publicly.

What astonished everyone [for it happened on a church outing] were word for word bible verses I came out with when I could barely read or write. One reason why I am reluctant to share it is because there were prophecies which the Lord told me which have not come to pass [yet]

He pointed to the clouds in the western sky and said "when you see the clouds race across the sky [He pointed west to east] then look and you will see Me coming in the clouds to take you home"

I saw His hands and His feet the crown of thorns and the stripes on His back, His shekinah glory.

I do not believe I will be alive at the rapture ...

I couldn't quite tell if you approved Blade, I titled it "ghost" to catch people's eye and in the story of Peter's release from prison the christians did say "it is his ghost" to the little girl.

I have seen what people would call a ghost. But we need to be careful and know that there are evil spirits who impersonate the dead. They can take the form of a deceased person and also speak in their voice. They are deceivers. They can take many forms including a light that moves in the sky and many people call that a UFO.
