Sorry Ted, I get tired of trying to explain this. It's not so much what people in control gain, although it's a lot, but it's more about what they stand to lose, which is power and control. In 1946 we finally had the first images from space. The military realized the earth is not what we thought. Put simply, Academia and the government were NOT going to go tell the whole world they are wrong. Millions of people are not "in on it" because everybosy already believes the globe.
