I’m definitely not an “it can only be read one way” person. I’m pretty sure it was custom made so that all of us can learn the same things. Some people are more keen on certain lessons within the passages, others take a bit of extra work to get there. I agree, it isn’t for confusion. I think it is supposed to help us, even though we use it to fight each other all of the time. Debating and learning is cool, but some people put their entire faith into a specific part of their theology. It’s like they refuse to worship or acknowledge God if He doesn’t work by their own personal definition of fairness.
